Your Specialty Home Design Center. Every Detail Starts Here

Choose For The Room
Start with what the surface will be asked to handle.
A busy kitchen island, bathroom vanity, laundry counter, and home bar do not live the same life. We begin with use, cleaning habits, moisture, heat, sunlight, sink style, seams, and budget. That keeps the material conversation connected to the room instead of the trend of the moment.
At the Abode showroom, you can compare:
-
Granite for natural variation and one-of-a-kind movement from slab to slab
-
Quartz for a broad range of colors and patterns with consistent everyday care
-
Engineered-stone and porcelain options for additional looks and applications
-
Laminate and solid-surface choices when value, color range, or design flexibility leads the decision

Brands and Materials
More choices are useful when someone can explain the differences.
Explore quartz and engineered surfaces from Corian Quartz, ENVI Quartz, Viatera, Wilsonart, and Americast, along with natural stone, engineered quartz, and porcelain selections available through Mont Surfaces. If laminate or solid surface makes more sense for the room, Abode can also show you options from Formica, Pionite, and Wilsonart.
Color and Composition
Never choose the countertop by itself.
When you visit our showroom, you can put it beside cabinet doors, flooring, backsplash, hardware, paint, and appliance finishes. Look at the undertone. Step back from the pattern. Turn the sample in the light. For natural stone, see the full slab whenever possible so the movement, color variation, and seam plan do not come as a surprise.
At the Abode showroom, you can compare:
-
Warm and cool undertones across fixed finishes
-
Pattern scale and movement across the full counter
-
Polished, matte, textured, and specialty finishes by material
-
Thickness, edge profile, overhang, backsplash, sink, and seam considerations

The
Showroom Visit
Bring the rest of the room and compare every surface in context.
Abode’s Portage showroom gives you a place to compare granite, quartz, engineered stone, laminate, and other surface samples alongside the finishes already chosen for your room. Look closely at undertones, movement, pattern scale, texture, sheen, and edge possibilities. Inspiration photos are a helpful start, but the right surface becomes easier to recognize when the materials are side by side.
What to Bring:
-
Photos of the room from several angles
-
Rough countertop dimensions or a basic layout
-
Cabinet doors and samples of flooring, tile, paint, or finishes that will remain
-
Sink, faucet, and appliance-finish information when available
-
Inspiration images and notes about maintenance, durability, and how the surface will be used
